Sanad, waar ben je geboren?
Ik ben in Syrië geboren in Hons, dat is een grote woonplaats. We hadden een villa met twee auto`s. Mijn vader had een autobedrijf. Hij werkte in Saoudi Arabië. Maar de oorlog veranderde alles. Ons huis was helemaal kapotgeschoten, de ramen waren er niet meer en de muren ook niet. Dat kwam door de soldaten van het leger, er was een burgeroorlog. De soldaten kwamen in ons huis. We gingen in het vliegtuig naar Jordanië. Daar bleven we een jaar. Maar op een dag hoorden we dat ons huis helemaal verwoest was. Toen vroegen we asiel aan in Nederland.
Ging je in Jordanië naar school?
Ja het was daar niet zo leuk. Ik had een juf die mij elke dag sloeg. Als we binnenkwamen stond ze bij de deur met een stok. Ze sloeg ons op onze handen. Daarna mocht je pas naar je plaats gaan. De les begon, als je je huiswerk niet af had werd je met de stok afgerost. Niemand gaf daar wat om. We gingen met het vliegtuig naar Nederland. We kregen daar asiel. Toen ben ik in Goes naar school gegaan. Ik dacht eigenlijk dat ze mij daar ook wel zouden slaan. Tot mijn verrassing waren de meesters en juffen erg aardig en vriendelijk. Ik kreeg helemaal geen klappen. Ik vind het hier erg leuk. Het is rustig en we zijn hier echt vrij. Ik heb al stage gelopen dat vond ik erg leuk. Later wil ik garagehouder worden en auto` s verkopen. Mijn vader heeft hier ook weer een garagebedrijf. Hij heeft het erg druk. Mijn moeder zorgt voor de kinderen. Laatst was het ramadan. Dat is best wel lastig. Het was erg warm en ik had dorst, maar toch heb ik niks gegeten en gedronken. Je krijgt er hoofdpijn van. Maar `s avonds om 9 uur is alle ellende voorbij. Dan heeft mijn moeder allerlei lekkere dingen gemaakt. Arabische rijst, pizza, spagetti, sambusa dat is een heerlijk gerecht van deeg met kaas of vlees.
Hier op school werk ik met een computerprogramma, het heet snappet. Ik reken en doe Nederlandse taal en spelling. Als praktijkvakken heb ik koken, techniek en gym.
Ik hoor je weleens christelijke liedjes zingen. Ben jij op een kinderbijbelclub geweest?
Mijn broertjes gingen daar op woensdagmiddag heen. Ze zongen er liedjes van : ‘ ik stel mijn vertrouwen op de Heer mijn God. “ Ik vond dat leuk. Ik geloof zelf in Allah. Iedereen heeft zijn eigen geloof. Dat is goed. Op de kinderclub zongen ze, ze knutselden en aten er, en ze hadden een leuke middag. Mijn broertjes kennen nu Bijbelverhalen, dat is wel grappig.
Deze week horen we over de vreselijke aardbeving in Turkije en Syrië. De mensen hebben al zoveel meegemaakt, en nu dit.
