Marnixmarkt!
Eén keer per jaar is er een grote rommelmarkt op het terrein van onze kerk. Opbrengst voor het Goede Doel. De rommel bestaat uit complete inboedels, die van de markt een gezellig winkelcentrum maken. De hele buurt heeft kans om eens een kijkje te nemen. Daar wordt volop gebruik van gemaakt! Grote eikenhouten stoelen. Allerlei kastjes en planken, vazen en kopjes, speelgoed en oude boeken liggen en staan geduldig te wachten in de hoop op een tweede thuis. Sappige aardbeien en appels liggen fruitig naast grote stukken zoete breekchocolade. Aan de overkant van het pad wordt kibbeling gebakken en wachten knapperige patatjes op een koper.
Binnen in de Marnixkerk valt te kiezen tussen een systematische of een dwaalroute. De grote zaal is gevuld met boeken en CD`s. Ik mag kiezen wat ik voor een CD betalen wil, en weersta de neiging om in alle boeken te gaan bladeren om ze vervolgens te kopen. Wat verderop staat de stichting Hoop voor Vlissingen en kun je informatie krijgen over het evangelisatieproject in de stad waar enthousiast aan wordt gewerkt. Verderop staan haute couture gebakjes te stralen in mooie verpakkingen. Je kunt tassen en sieraden kiezen zoveel je maar wilt.
Bij de keuken is het een gezellige drukte en worden kopjes koffie, heerlijke soepen, broodjes en appelflappen, donuts en van- alles-en=nog-wat geserveerd. Mensen van ver en dichtbij zitten in het “ restaurant ” te genieten van hun bestelling!
De laatste zaal verwelkomt ons met kleurige bloemen en planten. Er zijn zelfgemaakte kaarten die kleine kunstwerkjes blijken. Ik koop een fles anti-kalk met super power die wonderen beloofd. Intussen koopt Frans een groot stuk zeer oude kaas. We slenteren nog wat rond, en kijken bewonderend naar de karikatuur die van Daniël wordt gemaakt. Kinderen springen vrolijk heen en weer op een swingend springkussen. Met een enorme suikerspin stellen we Daniël en Simeon tevreden genoeg om het terrein voor gezien te beschouwen. Marnixmarkt, het was weer super voor elkaar!
